Great looking pub building. How does the food compare in tied vs untied pubs- any difference? Do you have a favorite beer from any of these pubs?

Interestingly enough not many pubs actually have food. It's a more recent shift for pubs these days, and one of the areas they can actually make more money on. It's a little different than the U.S., where restaurants make all the money on alcohol - here that doesn't seem to be the case. But there have been a few pubs, The Woolpack in a town called Slad and the Fox Inn in Broadwell that have had pretty awesome food! One is a tied house and one is a free house

We found much better food than we expected in London's pubs in 2013. I especially loved the meat pies .
